Antioch Park seems to be the go to spot for engagement sessions this year, and I’m loving it. The roses have been in bloom over the last few weeks and the light as been perfect. Sunday was no exception. We had a rare 70 degree day. The wind could have taken a break for a bit, but regardless, it was still a pretty perfect night. Antioch Park engagement session Bridgette and John are my kind of people. They’re super sarcastic, love animals, and are not afraid to bring out the booze for some celebratory cheering shots. It was so fun talking to them about weddings and cars. Well, John was curious about my new electric Prius and it’s a subject I love talking about. Antioch Park engagement session About halfway through the session, I suggested something and Bridgette responded with “whatever you want. We trust you.” That’s seriously the best compliment I could ever get at a session. I love when the couple trusts my crazy ideas and strange prompts. We were able to capture some pretty awesome moments because of this. Antioch Park engagement session Thanks Bridgette and John for an awesome session at Antioch Park!

– Hear from the couple –

How did he/she propose?

We were out to dinner with his parents for restaurant week at McCormick and Shmidts and after we finished eating he discretely got down on one knee and popped the question. We then had celebratory drinks with his parents at the bar.

Question for the bride: what do you love most about him?

He is so incredibly patient and kind. I know he would do absolutely anything for me and his love is truly unconditional.

Question for the groom: what do you love most about her?

Bridgette is one of the strongest and most determined people I have ever met. Everything she does in life she gives 1000% and enjoys the fruits of her labors. With the help of her I have achieved great things and through her love and support have accomplished more than I thought I could. I look forward to all we can achieve and experience in our lives together.

What’s your favorite part about wedding planning?

Lol – can none be an answer? We both said the same thing. But if we have to pick we go with trying all the foods and the actual day of celebrating with all our family and friends.

What are you looking forward to most about your big day?

Celebrating our love with all our friends and family. Also, for me, it is him seeing me come down the aisle for the very first time. Antioch Park engagement session

Thanks for visiting!

A little bit about me:

  1. I describe my style as real and vibrant. I focus on bright colors and incredible sunsets. I will force you to break away from your reception during sunset for pictures. You won’t regret it!
  2. I’m a huge animal lover. I own three cats and volunteer whenever I can at an animal shelter. If you ask if you can bring a pet to your engagement session, you will become my new best friend.
  3. I’m a newlywed, so I understand the wedding planning struggle!
