Antioch Park Engagement | Brooke + Zion

I had so much fun last night exploring Antioch Park with Brooke and Zion for their engagement session. Antioch Park is a hidden gem and I get really excited whenever a couple requests to have their session there. I don’t visit this park too often, but it’s crazy beautiful with all the Spring colors right now. Antioch Park Engagement Session Let me tell you a little bit about Brooke and Zion. They are seriously the cutest together. I would give them cues to interact and they would take it from there. Multiple times, Zion started cracking up. It’s easy to get the bride to laugh, but whenever the groom is laughing, I feel like I did my job. My goal is to have every couple truly enjoy their session.

Engagement pictures shouldn’t feel like an obligation, but I totally get that most people feel awkward in pictures and nervous about getting them done. That is why I’m always ready with prompts to make you laugh. Zion nailed the prompts…well he was very successful in making himself laugh. Brooke looked at him like he was crazy, but I still feel like each moment successfully captured the joy and love in their relationship. Overland Park engagement session In addition to being adorable together, they have the kindest hearts. At one point during the session, Zion asked me what I do to advertise and what they can do to help. I can’t explain how thoughtful that question is. It means so much to me that my couples want to help since word of mouth marketing is the most effective method 🙂 I appreciate you so much!

Thank you Brooke and Zion for spending time with me last night and I CANNOT wait until your wedding in July! We will have a blast!

– Hear from the couple –

How did he/she propose?

I was away in Texas on a ministry trip with some friends for a week. Our flight got delayed. When we got there we headed to baggage claim. I look down the hallway and see Zion dressed fancy with huge embarrassing balloons behind him. It was the longest walk of my life! He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was elated!

Question for the bride: what do you love most about him?

I love his heart for people! Zion has this amazing ability to see the best on people and it is so encouraging.

Question for the groom: what do you love most about her?

His response, “her booty!” Me: “baaabe! Be serious!” Him, “oh I’m sooo serious!” “Her eyes and her smile! And her booty!” Haha ??‍♀️(I died laughing when I read this)

What’s your favorite part about wedding planning?

Getting to see everything come together. It awesome when you have a vision of what you want it to look like and slowly things start piecing together.

What are you looking forward to most about your big day?

Not having to say goodbye at night. Finally going to our own place and just getting to figure out life together.
