Today has been a day for blogging my most recent inspiration shoots. I’ve been trying to get several of them picked up by publications lately, so I’ve avoided blogging them until I knew what was going on. I’m so excited this gorgeous Irish-inspired shoot at Belvoir Winery was picked up! It’ll be in a publication shortly, but first, I want to share a few of my favorites with you all.
This shoot was the brain child of Jaimie Willis with Wedding Elegance. She brought me on to photograph an important passion project of hers inspired by her own Irish roots.
Since Jaimie will do a better job than me explaining the meaning behind the shoot, here’s a little bit from the upcoming article:
“When I design a wedding I try to make sure the design has unique parts for each couple. It’s always fun to be able to use my creative juices to curate weddings that showcase the story of each couple. When designing this styled shoot, I sought inspiration from something near to me: my own story. Having Irish ancestry I wanted to design a shoot that reminded me of the rolling hills of Ireland.
I also wanted to focus on several forms of greenery, from moss to vines, I wanted to showcase greenery without using the ever-popular eucalyptus. When I sat down with the florist, I told her I wanted it to feel natural, with very minimal flowers. I wanted the focus to be on greenery and showcasing how you can use its textures to make a statement and a table that was minimalistic elegance.”
Thanks to this incredible team!
