Black Hoof Engagement | Angela + Geoff
I’m going to keep this blog post short and sweet because Angela and Geoff have already had their engagement blog! We first took engagement pictures in January on the coldest weekend of the year. It was in the single digits and we were all completely frozen. They did get some awesome snow pictures, but they didn’t get the sunset pictures they were dreaming of. Since we were only able to stay outside for about 20 minutes, I offered them a reshoot in the Spring. Or at least it was supposed to be Spring by now! Thankfully we had decent weather for the session. It was a bit windy, but not too terribly cold. It definitely beat the weather of the previous session! It was super cloudy, so we lost all hope of having a decent sunset. Suddenly, the clouds turned purple and we actually did get an amazing sky! I’m so happy they got the sunset pictures they had wanted!
We explored Black Hoof Park/Lake Lenexa, which is an amazing spot for engagement photos. They even brought their two adorable pups with them! The sun set quicker than I expected and we ended up shooting the last half of the session in almost complete darkness. Some of the later photos aren’t my normal style, but I’m still happy with the way they turned out.
Once again, thank you Angela and Geoff for spending your Saturday night with me and I can’t wait for your July wedding.
