Crossroads Engagement | Rebeckah + Kevin

Rebeckah and Kevin had such a fun Crossroads engagement session a few days ago! When these two were preparing for their session, Rebeckah mentioned they had never had professional pictures together and weren't sure what to expect. Well, they definitely killed it.

It's not uncommon to have a couple nervous about their engagement session, but it's also common for them to warm up very quickly. I told these two that the first 15 minutes of the session are always throwaway images. Yes, I still deliver them, but most of the time, these will be a little stiffer images as they get comfortable being in front of the camera. Of course, after a few minutes, these two were down for anything.

From her giving him a piggyback ride (I was totally joking when I suggested it, but they had no complaints) to going along with my crazy prompts, they seemed to have a blast the entire time.

- Hear from the couple -

How did he propose?

Kevin put the date on both family's calendars a few months in advance and had the help of our Matron of Honor to scope out some locations in Manhattan, KS where the big question could be asked. After landing on Liquid Art Winery, Rebeckah went to lunch with all her sisters while Kevin stayed home and babysat her 2 year-old nephew. As soon as Rebeckah & her sister left the house, Kevin woke up the sleeping baby, loaded him in the car, dropped him off at Grandma & Grandpa's house and went to the winery. He found a good spot at the bottom of a hill where Rebeckah couldn't see him, but he could hear her laughing and having a great time with her sisters. After a while, he texted her sisters that he was ready for them to go for a walk and they met at an opening overlooking the winery. After some surprise, and tears, she finally said "Yes!" After the proposal, we went back to her parents' house and celebrated with both families.

Question for the bride: what do you love most about him?

Kevin works really hard at whatever he decides to do; whether it is work, relationships, or a hobby, his work ethic is incredibly inspiring to me. He also has a great sense of humor and never fails to make me laugh.

Question for the groom: what do you love most about her?

Rebeckah's love for friends & family is unparalleled. I love watching her interact with our nieces, nephews, and friends' kids. She is so giving of her time and talents and always puts others before herself. She is the most caring & compassionate person that I have ever met.
