Hannah and Matt had such a beautiful Emerson Fields wedding day on Saturday.

Leading up to the wedding day, there was a lot of rain in the forecast. Thankfully, the actual day cleared up and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. At least that was the case until the end of the night. Halfway through the reception, Matt ran up to me and said there's a wild lightning storm going on, can we take some pictures?? The answer was obviously yes. I dropped everything, grabbed some lights, and ran outside with the couple. Considering I wasn't planning on photographing lightning, I didn't have all the correct gear with me. I suppose a table works just as well as a tripod when necessary. Note to future couples, hire a photographer who can photograph lightning. It is no simple task, but I'm so proud of the way these photos turned out.

Anyway, Hannah and Matt have been one of my favorite couples to work with over the last year or so. They even had us visit them out in Colorado for engagement pictures. When it comes to epic sunsets, these two lucked out both times.

Thank you Hannah and Matt for allowing me to be part of your gorgeous Emerson Fields wedding day! Here's your full preview!

Share the inspiration and atmosphere you're creating for your wedding:
My inspiration started with photos of bright colored springtime florals on Pinterest. We are going for a relaxed but still classy and modern atmosphere with pops of spring colors.
Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s):
Emerson Fields first caught my eye on Instagram. I then (of course) went to their website and learned that they offer a 48 hour rental… this is what really enticed us! I felt like so many venues would have us on a time crunch, and it was nice knowing that this would not be the case with them as we are both pretty laid-back people. When we toured the venue we officially fell in love with Emerson Fields. We also got to meet Amelia and Steve, the owners. They were incredible kind and welcoming. We also got the impression that they really want their couples to have a great experience overall and are willing to help along any step of the way to bring to bring our wedding vision to life.
What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples planning their wedding?
Having a wedding coordinator has been fantastic. She's making sure we have all the info we need from the vendors, helping with the timeline, etc. She also offers decor rentals and recommendations, and this has been WONDERFUL as I am not a DIY girlie. (Shout out Tyena with D-Zines).
What was your favorite part of the planning process?
We really enjoyed the parts where we got to meet and talk with our vendors. We are truly working with so many wonderful people, and it's been great getting to know them through the wedding planning process.
