Laura and Nolan had an incredible Enchanted Acres wedding on Saturday! This venue will always hold a special place in my heart because it's where I got married! I haven't been back in a couple years, so this wedding came at the perfect time.
Literally everything about this Enchanted Acres wedding was absolutely perfect. The day started with Laura finishing her getting ready portion ahead of schedule! That seriously never happens. Since she finished early, we were able to start the first look early giving us an extra 30 minutes just for couple portraits. I was in heaven. Normally I'm lucky if I get 30 minutes all day with just the couple, but we had a good hour or so to wander around the property and take the most stunning portraits.
My favorite part of the day had to be the first look. As soon as Nolan turned around to see Laura standing in front of him, he was blown away with emotions. In Laura's words, "I have never seen this man cry before." There's no way to really know how the groom will react to the first look, but Nolan's expression was priceless.
To top it off, they had the most incredible wedding party. Everyone was so full of excitement and love for the couple. They constantly hyped Laura up all day long and had no problem participating in portraits!
Leading up to the wedding day, we were a little concerned about wind. Although it was a 70 degree day, the forecast predicted 40 mile per hour wind gusts. It was a tad bit windy for a bit, but it cleared up just in time for portraits. We could not have asked for more perfect weather.
The day, as a whole, was perfect. They decided to include their favorite things in their wedding planning, which included a breakfast buffet and margarita fountain. Could you ask for anything more????
Laura was the most relaxed bride. She was sporting her Chacos shoes and had no problem adventuring around the property. She knew high heels wouldn't cut work, so she wore her adventure shoes with style!
I also have to brag about Nolan for a minute. Typically the groom gets tired of portraits FAST. Although Nolan may have been exhausted by the end, he never complained once and tolerated spending so much time in front of my camera. He really was a natural and rotated poses without me even needing to give him prompts. Right on cue, he would kiss her forehead or cheek.
Now I've talked about these two separately, but I also need to talk about their relationship. I actually had two engagement sessions with them prior because we were caught in a torrential downpour during our first attempt. I offered them a second session to make up for it. Throughout our rainy adventure, they never complained and enjoyed the ride even though it wasn't anywhere close to how they pictured their engagement session going. We may have gotten lost on a mile long hike, but it was still totally worth it. Our second session was supposed to take place right as the pandemic began, so of course we had to reschedule. When we finally were able to meet up again, they were still just as calm and collected as they had been the entire process.
The way they look at each other is absolutely priceless. You can see the love with every glance. Laura can't help but laugh every time Nolan gives her a kiss and it is the cutest thing ever. Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your perfect Enchanted Acres wedding! Here's your full preview! More to come shortly!

Fun, laid back, includes all our favorite things such as outdoors, breakfast, margaritas, etc.
Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s):
We chose the venue because of the outdoor ceremony space. The garden walk and the alter are gorgeous and perfect for us as we love to be outside. We also liked that the ceremony and reception could be at the same location.
What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples planning their wedding?
Try your best to not fixate on other's opinions. Ranking the big cost items (catering, flowers, cake, etc.) as what's most important to you two to help create the budget.
What was your favorite part of the planning process?
Touring venues, cake tasting, engagement pictures (even in the rain)!
