Faultless Event Space Wedding | Traci + Justin

Traci and Justin had a beautiful Faultless Event Space Wedding on Saturday! It may have been a bit cold, but that didn’t phase these two one bit. We had perfect cloud cover for portraits and a super fun wedding party to celebrate with them.

Let me start by telling you about Traci. Traci is one of those brides who I instantly bonded with. From late night venting sessions to sharing animal pictures, we talked nonstop through the entire process. I love those clients who feel more like friends and I can be myself around. To be honest, I was a little sad when our business relationship ended because I loved talking with her so much, but I fully expect for our friendship to continue.

Leading up to the wedding, COVID was obviously on their mind. They weren’t sure whether to continue as planned, but Traci and Justin knew they were getting married on October 24th regardless. Thankfully, they were able to continue as planned and could not have had a more incredible day.

The day started at the Crown Plaza hotel downtown in a beautiful getting ready suite. Traci was surrounded by all the important ladies in her life who even made up the bedroom to look like a bride’s paradise. Cue the balloons! There were so many balloons!

Following the getting ready portion, we had so much time for portraits! I love it when I’m able to wander around town to capture so many epic locations and Traci trusted me to pick out the perfect spots. Not only were we able to experience the area surrounding their Faultless Event Space wedding in the west bottoms, but we were able to head to Liberty Memorial and the Kauffman Center of Performing Arts. Despite the cold and spending a couple hours outside, Traci and Justin didn’t complain once. They were so thrilled to finally be able to have their day surrounded by their favorite people.

In these blog posts, I usually talk about my favorite part of the day, but I’m drawing a blank. I can’t think of just one favorite part of the day. The entire day was filled with so many emotions and laughs. If I had to choose, my favorite part would probably be when Traci read Justin’s letter. She was immediately overcome with emotions and said “wow, I didn’t expect to cry. I’m such a pussy.” She gave the videographer permission to put that in her video, so I’m giving myself permission to also write about it in the blog 🙂 We all started silently cracking up, while trying to be quiet to not ruin the audio of her video. I just love Traci’s personality so much. She’s unapologetically herself, which I love to see.

When I first met up with Traci and Justin for their engagement session, I knew they were my kind of people. They brought their dog and cat to the session, which was a dream come true for me. From their engagement session through wedding day, I loved watching these two interact with so much love and laughter. Their relationship is so special and I can’t wait to watch it grow!

Thank you so much Traci and Justin for trusting me with your day. Let’s get margaritas soon! More from your incredible Faultless Event Space wedding to come shortly!

Share your inspiration and the atmosphere you’re creating for your wedding:

I’m hoping it will feel kind of industrial/chic. The venue had exposed brick and white pillars and old hardwood floor. There’s string lights and I’m doing geometric type decor. In my mind it sounds really put together, so I’m basically just hoping it just doesn’t look like a 4 year old put it together lol.

Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s):

We both liked the industrial warehouse type feel of the venue. I liked that it was big enough to fit a decent number of people but everyone feels connected in the same room for the most part. Huge for me was that they include flipping the room and setting up/taking down all of the decor. We don’t even have to pick it up from the venue until the following week. The staff boxes it up and everything for us. I’ve been in a lot of weddings where as a bridesmaid we are scrambling to get everything out of the venue by a certain time so they didn’t get charged extra. And I didn’t want that rushed feeling for me or my bridal party. Tony was also a huge reason. He’s seems like he’s a man with a plan and has done this for years and likes to take charge and get things done, which I can appreciate!

What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples planning their wedding?

Make lists! It’s all very overwhelming, but lists for me made it manageable. I gave myself small deadlines to try to keep myself on track so it wouldn’t all feel so last minute.

What was your favorite part of the planning process?

Hmm… trying on dresses and meeting awesome vendors like you! I really enjoyed our engagement photos.
