Lawrence Engagement Session | Sarah + DJ

How did he propose?

Dj invited all of our family and friends to the renaissance festival. We dressed up as Maid Marion and Robin Hood. While on a beer tour they called for Maid Marion to come to the stage. He proposed and I said yes… assuming we were cosplaying! It wasn’t until I saw my son and mom crying that I realized it was a real proposal! (He didn’t have my actual ring yet… so the ring was… different lol)

Question for the bride: what do you love most about him?

I love how supportive and funny he is! Also, he’s a fantastic dad and cook!

Question for the groom: what do you love most about her?

She’s sweet and caring. Always planning something for us to do and keeping me in line. She’s a great mom and my best friend.

Have my mentioned before how much I love Lawrence? If you’re looking for a really awesome mix of urban and rustic, you really can’t do any better than downtown Lawrence.

We started over by the Amtrak station and make our way to a really nice ivy wall off of Mass Street.

Sarah and DJ were great to work with. We started with a couple family photos and then focused on capturing their love. Every time I would ask them to get into a serious pose, they both started laughing. I loved the genuine expressions were were able to get. I hardly needed to give them any cues. They were perfectly comfortable interacting with each other and loving on each other.

Their wedding is only two short months away. It will be freezing, but I can’t wait!
