I'm often asked what happens if it rains on our wedding day. Well, you can either be sad about it or create some magic. Paige and Cody decided on the latter option with their Legacy at Green Hills Wedding.
Leading up to the wedding day, there was nothing but clouds in the forecast, but minimal chance of rain. I was super excited to embrace the cloudy day, but the universe had other plans. Moments before their first look was scheduled to begin, the forecast changed to 100% chance of rain for the entirety of the day.
Of course, these two were a little disappointed, but it didn't dampen their spirits (get it, dampen...I'm hilarious). With the help of an amazing planning team, The Veil KC, we were able to move everything indoors. Thankfully the Legacy at Green Hills has a gorgeous indoor space. Without knowing the forecast, Paige and Cody rented a living room set, which was the perfect backdrop for our indoor photos.
Paige and Cody also shared the day with their adorable little girl. I typically don't post staring at the camera and smiling photos, but there was one that was too cute not to share.
Thank you so much Paige and Cody for rolling with the punches and letting me drag you out into the cold and rain! Here's your full preview!

Share the inspiration and atmosphere you're creating for your wedding:
We wanted to bring our families together in an elegant yet comfortable event. Our goal is for it to feel happy, light, fun, and a bit romantic. 🙂
Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s):
Elizabeth actually helped us find our venue after our previous one did not work out. Not only was it perfect and checked all the boxes, but it has the same name as the place we met. We originally met working together at a grocery store called 'Roger's Green Hills' so when we found 'The Legacy at Green Hills' we knew it was meant to be!
What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples planning their wedding?
Start early, partner with great vendors, and create a schedule for accomplishing tasks so you don't get overwhelmed or behind. Also, don't forget to enjoy the planning process and use it as a way to connect with your partner.
What was your favorite part of the planning process?
The time we got to spend together going through all the choices and making decisions that reflect both of us was a great bonding experience. We can't wait to see it all come together and celebrate with our loved ones!
