Legacy at Green Hills Wedding | Sicily + Zach

Sicily and Zach had an absolutely amazing wedding day at the Legacy at Green Hills! To start, this venue is so beautiful. There isn’t a bad spot for photos on the entire property. I loved how the entire venue is outside, so I used flash minimally throughout the day.

Let me talk a little about Sicily and Zach. Sicily is one of those brides who I instantly bonded with. She loves animals as much as me and even dedicates the majority of her life to being a foster parent. They foster kittens on a regular basis, and I’ve even had the pleasure of photographing one of these kitties. To top it off, Sicily was such a relaxed bride. At one point, her dress ripped after being caught on a twig and she was just like whatever, and ripped it completely off. She is bride goals and I hope I can be as relaxed as her.

The ceremony was short and sweet. It literally lasted 15 minutes but was still so full of emotions. Sicily and Zach have been together for seven years, so it was a long time coming. Before the ceremony, I was talking to Zach and his parents. He couldn’t believe how lucky he was to be marrying the girl of his dreams. Even after so much time, he was in awe of what he had. It was such a beautiful sight to see.

The reception was also incredible. They had a live band playing and Sicily shared a gorgeous first dance with her grandpa.

I loved how much fun Sicily and Zach could have together. Even on their wedding day, there was no stress. They enjoyed each other so much and had an amazing support system behind them.

Although Sicily and Zach were not huge picture people, I still convinced them to have some amazingly intimate portraits together. We spent about 5 minutes on sunset portraits, but we still got some amazing shots. Toward the end of the night, I convinced them to have one final slow dance together, which really showed off their love and the venue’s charm.

Thank you so much Sicily and Zach for letting me be part of your amazing day. I’m sure, at least I hope, Sicily and I will be friends for a long time. Call me when you get your next set of foster kitties 🙂

Share your inspiration and the atmosphere you’re creating for your wedding.

FUN and more laid back, we met at a concert and it’s our favorite thing to do together. So we’d like to have fun, dance, drink and laugh with family/friends.

Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s).

Outside and beautiful nature! Love the field next to the ceremony site, if in bloom with wild flowers, would love picture over there

What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples planning their wedding?

eLoPe hahaha! JK! Plan in advance and HIRE MIKAYLA! (Wedding planner)

What was your favorite part of the planning process?

It being almost over so we can focus on going to concerts and getting more foster kittens! (Zach has forbid me to get foster kittens for the last month because supposedly I get “too involved” and ignore wedding planning.
