Lone Summit Ranch Wedding | Jessica + Dustin

Jessica and Dustin had a beautiful Lone Summit Ranch Wedding last week!

I have to start by talking about my new favorite venue! I had never been to Lone Summit Ranch before, and I am in love. This venue has absolutely everything you could ever want in a venue. From a gorgeous pond to stunning reception space, there really isn’t any part of this property that isn’t photo-worthy. Plus, you can see the sunset for days! Seriously, it’s the most gorgeous venue ever. I need to go back in the near future!

Anyway, Jessica and Dustin are two of the sweetest and most chill people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Throughout the entire day, they were happy to go with the flow. When Jessica smeared lipstick on her dress, it didn’t phase her.

Toward the end of the night at our sunset session, we wandered toward tall grass by the lake. Per the event coordinator’s instructions, I mentioned there could be snakes. Jessica said she would definitely pick up a snake if it came by. I’m not entirely sure if that was the alcohol talking, but I was here for it. Well, I may have been running if we actually saw a snake, but I love that ‘whatever we need to do for the pictures’ attitude.

One of my favorite moments had to be leading up to the first look. Dustin mentioned how he had never been more nervous in his life, but as soon as he saw his beautiful bride, all the nerves drifted away and he was filled with emotions. Jessica’s matron of honor and sister, Brittany, mentioned this in her toast. She said she knew these two were meant to be (even more than she already knew) when she saw his reaction to seeing Jessica for the first time. I’ll let these images speak for themselves.

Dustin and I are pretty simple people that just like to have fun so we focused less on decor and more on good food, good music, and an open bar.

Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s):

When we began looking at wedding dates, it was slim pickings for 2022 wedding availability. We scheduled walk throughs at a couple venues and Lone Summit Ranch was the first one we toured and fell in love with. We could just picture ourselves getting married there and loved the beautiful property.

What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples planning their wedding?

Don’t get lost in all the checklists and recommended aspects of what a wedding should be and just focus on what you want it to be. Don’t be afraid to do it your own way and leave out the things that seem like a waste of money (they usually are!)

What was your favorite part of the planning process?

Tastings – I also enjoyed hearing Dustin say “Whatever makes you happy.” when it came to decisions about the wedding.
