Mikaela and Richard had a gorgeous Lone Summit Ranch wedding! Lone Summit Ranch is one of my favorite venues in Kansas City because the photo opportunities are endless. Plus, you can't really beat those sunsets. 2/2 weddings have had epic sunsets, so I'm pretty sure that means every Lone Summit Ranch wedding will have the perfect sunset.

Share the inspiration and atmosphere you're creating for your wedding:

Our inspiration for our wedding was a modern rustic atmosphere with elegance. We really focused on simplicity, incorporating our wedding colors, and utilizing the theme that Lone Summit Ranch provided for an overall elegant atmosphere.

Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s):

We fell in love with Lone Summit Ranch as our wedding reception venue because it captured the overall vision of our wedding. We were looking for an elegant venue that incorporated a modern farmhouse feel. We also loved LSR as it has enough indoor/ outdoor spaces for our guests with plenty of amenities. When first touring the venue, as we approached the main reception space, it had a feel as though we were coming home as it was very warm and inviting.

What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples planning their wedding?

Our advice is to focus on those special things most important to you and your fiancé for your wedding day. Don't feel pressured to add things to your day or do something a certain way just because they are "trending" at that time.

What was your favorite part of the planning process?

We loved planning those personal touches for our special day. We loved that we were able to pick what was most important to us and have the flexibility to incorporate it into our day.
