Movie Theatre and Crossroads Engagement | Makenzie + Rob

This Crossroads engagement session with Makenzie and Rob may be my new favorite session. Not only did we get to hit up some of my favorite spots in the Crossroads, but we also were able to get some photos at the Screenland Armour Theatre!

Movies are a big deal to Makenzie and Rob, so when we were planning out our engagement session, they mentioned stopping in the theatre. I had never done a session at a movie theatre before and didn’t even know if it was possible. They were able to get special permission to explore the theatre after the shows cleared out.

This was such a fun experience for me because I was able to watch these two interact in their natural habitat. Note to future couples, if you want pictures in a movie theatre, it is totally a thing and I’m here for it.

After we explored the Screenland Armour Theatre, we went to the Crossroads where we were able to get a few pictures with their adorable doggie, Peanut. We visited some of the most iconic walls and finished at the Kauffman Center for their signature Kansas City engagement session.

Makenzie and Rob are so fun together. I know I say this all the time, but it’s so true for all my couples. They were able to interact naturally in front of the camera and looked gorgeous in the process.

Thank you so much for hanging out with me at the Screenland Armour Theatre and the Crossroads in Kansas City for your engagement session! I can’t wait until your wedding later this year!

– Hear from the couple –

How did he propose?

We started a family vacation to Italy with just the two of us. On our first day on the Almafi coast we took a boat ride to the Isle of Capri and he proposed as we passed through famous stone archways of love.

Question for the bride: what do you love most about him?

Literally everything, but if I had to select one thing it would have to be the way he makes me feel. His love, patience & grace are to be admired & emulated. Rob’s unconditional love engulfs all my fears & anxieties to allow my heart and mind to be at peace. He has taught me how to truly love and be loved. He also makes me laugh harder than I ever knew possible.

Oh…and his butt… 🙂

Question for the groom: what do you love most about her?

Her passion for life and compassion for everyone around her. I am awe-inspired by the way she treats friends and strangers. Most importantly, I love the way we laugh together.

And her butt too!
