When I was first talking to Madison about getting her engagement session scheduled, she was so torn between the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art or Loose Park. After weighing the options, we decided to tackle both places! Multiple locations for an engagement session is no easy feat, but we were able to move quickly and make it work!
Madison and Blake definitely came dressed to impress. I'm so obsessed with her long sequined gown! I totally wish I could pull that off. We also had a blast going through all the poses. They are naturals and needed very little direction to look stunning.
These two actually met in middle school. After being best friends for a couple years, Blake asked Madison to the homecoming dance their freshman year of high school. And, 8 years later they're planning the most perfect wedding day.
I'm sooo sooo soo excited about their wedding next year. They happened to secure the most coveted date of the year (10.10.20) and I can't wait to celebrate with them at the Hilton President!
Madison was one of the first 2020 brides I booked and I'm so glad she was able to grab that date. Since we first met at a bridal show in February, we've been following each other on social media pretty closely. She knows my session sharing process and asked me before we left if they were going to get previews. Of course! Welcome to my blog Madison and Blake 🙂
Here's your full preview! More to come shortly!
Hear from the couple -
How did he propose?
It was the 4th of July 2018. Blake knows 4th of July is my favorite holiday. He got all my friends and family together, and took my on a walk on my family's land just him and I, while my friends and family were setting up fire works to go off right behind us. As the fireworks were going off Blake got down on one knee and proposed. My friends and family ran to us to congratulate us. It was perfect.
Question for the bride: what do you love most about him?
I adore my Blake. No matter what he always takes care of me even if I tell him to let me do it. He always makes sure I know how loved I am, he's very sweet to me. He makes me laugh no matter what kind of mood I'm in. He's so easy to talk to.
Question for the groom: what do you love most about her?
Her attitude. She's sassy, but I love it. Anytime I come to her about a situation she always makes me look at the positives in it. She pushes me to do my best, I always wanna make her proud.
What's your favorite part about wedding planning?
Everything, I have loved every single step of the wedding planning. I could do this all day!
What are you looking forward to most about your big day?
