This engagement session was truly incredible. I met Becca at the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show in January and I’m so happy she allowed me to take her engagement pictures. Both Becca and Nate are still in school while planning their January wedding. I don’t know how they do it. Planning a wedding is difficult enough. Being in school would add a whole different level of difficulty.
We decided on the Nelson to give them a classic feel for the pictures, and let me tell you, they were so easy to work with. They laughed throughout the entire session without much prompting. Their love was so obvious in every picture and I was laughing right along side them the entire session. These two met their freshman year of high school, so they are the dictionary definition of high school sweethearts. I just can’t get over the adorableness of all these pictures.
I hope you love them as much as I do. Thank you so much Becca and Nate for spending a Friday night hanging out with me!
How did he propose?
Nate proposed on November 25, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We had friends in town and Becca was showing them around KC when Nate surprised her at Kauffman Gardens. He had written in the journal they’d shared since starting college, and surprised her with a ring! Both of our families surprised us at home with a big party to celebrate.
Question for the bride: what do you love most about him?
Nate is so funny. He has an awesome sense of humor and he thinks I’m funny too, which is the best part!
Question for the groom: what do you love most about her?
How comfortable she makes me feel – people continually tell me I am too quiet, but Becca would tell you I never shut up.
What’s your favorite part of wedding planning?
We can’t wait to celebrate a day 5 years in the making with friends and family who have supported us since Day 1! Sharing the planning with family has been the best part.
What are you looking forward to most about your big day?
Being surrounded by people we love and who love us will be the best part!
