Parkville Nature Sanctuary | Chelsea + Syndi
Today was awesome. I spent the afternoon napping followed by an amazing engagement session with Chelsea and Syndi, who drove four hours into Kansas City just for their session at Parkville Nature Sanctuary. I’m so glad they were able to make the trip because we had such beautiful scenery. Despite the gloomy day, we were still able to find some beautiful light surrounded by changing trees. Guys, it’s officially fall and that means fall colors!
Parkville Nature Sanctuary is such a beautiful hidden gem. I would have never known about this place if a couple other clients didn’t suggest it. I love the forest feel and there’s even a hidden waterfall.
I’m really so glad I had the opportunity to capture these two. They’ve been together 7 years and only have a handful of pictures together. Hopefully now you’ll have enough to last until your wedding 🙂
Thanks again for making the trip in and I can already tell your wedding will be amazing! Here’s your full preview!
How did Syndi propose?
It was a really simple proposal. She got down on one knee in the kitchen while I was making coffee and asked if I would marry her. It was a long time coming!
Question for Chelsea: what do you love most about her?
Gosh, picking one thing is hard. I think it would have to be how she makes me feel. Syndi always makes me feel like the most important person around. She opens doors, always compliments me, loves getting me little gifts and surprises when she sees something I will like, and always lets me know how much she loves me.
Question for the Syndi: what do you love most about her?
Her kind heart, honesty, and great cooking!
What’s your favorite part of wedding planning?
I love seeing our ideas and theme take shape! Making it go from an idea to reality is really exciting.
What are you looking forward to most about your big day?
I’m really looking forward to making it official, FINALLY. I have told her since we were together for a year that I wanted to marry her. She agreed she wanted to marry me, but would never get serious enough to make a real proposal.
