Where do I even start with this gorgeous Pavilion Event Space wedding?
Nancy is one of those brides who I instantly bonded with. We talked about our fur babies, random life things, and of course everything wedding related. I have loved getting to know her over the past year and a half. I could make this entire blog a love note to Nancy, but I don’t have time for that and she knows how I feel.
Anyway, the Pavilion Event Space is one of my favorite venues. I’m usually there at least a couple times a year and I love how the venue can take on so many different looks to fit the couple’s dreams.
Nancy dreamed of a purple and blue wedding. Everyone thought she was a little crazy. She even went so far as to tell her florist, Matt, that she wanted the most obnoxious shades of purple and blue. We were all a little skeptical, but the colors ended up working together perfectly.
We started the day at the Stoney Creek hotel since the Pavilion Event Space didn’t open their doors until 2. When I first learned we would be taking all the portraits at a hotel, I wasn’t super happy about it, but this is no ordinary hotel. There’s an entire lake and so much greenery, perfect for a variety of portraits.
After finishing up with the full wedding party, we went to the Pavilion to capture a few family formals and get ready for their outdoor ceremony.
Everything about the day was perfect. Rain was in the forecast, but that didn’t stop Nancy and Anthony from wanting an outdoor ceremony. Halfway through our portraits, it started sprinkling and I asked if they wanted to move inside. Anthony responded with, “I won’t melt.” As someone who was married in the rain, I love couples who will embrace their outdoor ceremony regardless. Thankfully we only received a few sprinkles and were left with perfect overcast skies that made portraits a breeze.
Thank you Nancy and Anthony for being amazing humans and allowing me to be part of your love story. I’m a little sad for our business relationship to end, but I can’t wait to meet all your animals. I’ll force Kyle to double date and learn how to play pool and all the things. Love you two!
