Even though wedding season technically hasn’t begun for 2018, my year is in full swing. I finished up the last couple weeks with two engagements and a wedding.
For the first engagement of the year, Katie, Taylor and I explored the Kansas City Plaza. It was the day before the lights were officially turned off, so we were able to get a beautiful colorful background. Despite the freezing cold, we still had a great time. They even brought me a pocket warmer for me to help with the cold. Katie and Taylor, I appreciate you!
Even though it was in the temperature was in the teens, you really can’t tell from the pictures. They were so full of laughter and love.
Thanks so much for spending the time with me! I can’t wait for your October wedding (and possibly another engagement session in less frigid weather)!
How did he propose?
He took me to a restaurant on the Plaza and we had an early dinner. As we were walking outside, his whole family and mine were waiting for us in the outside garden area and he turned me towards him and got down on one knee! It was definitely a surprise.
Question for the bride: what do you love most about him?
I love the fact he can always make me laugh, no matter what. There’s never a dull moment with the two of us. We are always laughing or joking about something.
Question for the groom: what do you love most about her?
Hard to say there are so many things I love about her. I guess if I had to choose what I love most it would be the love and comfort she gives me that makes me feel anything is possible.
What’s your favorite part of wedding planning?
I love the creative side of it all. Knowing that all of this hard work and planning is going to make for an amazing wedding that is completely ours.
What are you looking forward to most about your big day?
I (Katie) am most excited for the first look, and the actual ceremony. I am very sentimental, so I know I’m going to be an absolute mess that day, but I am so excited for all of it to happen!
