Sarah and Michael had such a beautiful Powell Gardens wedding on Saturday. We started with a ceremony the Powell Gardens chapel followed by a Missouri Barn reception.
Where do I even start with this wedding? From beautiful florals to an incredible sunset and the sweetest couple, this Powell Gardens wedding really had it all. I could go on and on, but I think the images can show you more than I could tell you.
I just really have to brag on this couple though. Sarah and Michael value photography so much so that I actually had about three hours of portrait time. We had a golf cart take us all around the Powell Gardens property in the afternoon. Sarah made it clear how much she cared about sunset photos, so we obviously went out again for these epic sunset shots. My favorite part of the night had to be our night pictures.
When Sarah and Michael were first looking for a photographer, they obviously looked through dozens of portfolios, but happened to stumble upon my smoke bomb pictures. Michael said he saw those photos and knew I was the one to capture their day! So, they bought the smoke bombs and planned to take some incredible photos. However, Powell Gardens would not allow us to actually release the smoke bombs on their property. We drove across the street to the security guard’s house (with permission) and made some magic. I absolutely love how these images turned out, but even more so, I am in love with the video! I very rarely release the video preview at the same time as the photos, but I just had to look through the footage immediately.
To Sarah and Michael: I had a blast exploring Powell Gardens with you. You two are absolutely perfect together and have no issues being loving on each other in front of the camera. Side note, I definitely had them making out for like 5 minutes straight when we were getting the lighting right for the smoke bombs. They didn’t seem to mind 🙂 Thank you for choosing me to be part of your Powell Gardens wedding!

When I visited Powell Gardens for the first time I felt so at peace. Michael and I are Christians and felt this was the perfect place to be married in front of God and our families. I want everyone to have that breathtaking experience when you see the chapel. I want people to have a great time at the reception and enjoy the beauty of Powell Gardens.
