Lavynder and Hans are getting married in less than a week, and I'm so glad they were able to make time for a last minute engagement session. We met up at Sar Ko Par Trails Park in Lenexa where the couple goes for picnics on a regular basis. It was a gloomy day, but we were thinking the rain would hold off. Of course as soon as we began the session, the sky opened up. Thankfully I had a clear umbrella in my car that made the perfect rainy weather prop.
Lavynder and Hans were so fun to be around. They laughed and interacted naturally without any cues from me. They were able to be their natural selves. It was truly hilarious to watch. I was laughing right along side them. Serious pictures weren't their forte, but that's ok! I'm so in love with all the goofy images we were able to capture.
How did he propose?
Hans: "We went to the Bronx zoo and I made sure she was in a bad mood before proposing that make it extra fun and special."
Question for the bride: what do you love most about him?
Lavynder: "His extremely weird sense of humor and the way he weaves it into everything he does."
Question for the groom: what do you love most about her?
Hans: "Her unending patience for my shenanigans"
What's your favorite part of wedding planning?
"Collaborations with friends and family"
What are you looking forward to most about your big day?
"Seeing all the blood, sweat, and tears pay off. :)"
