Shawnee Mission Engagement | Megan + Weston

It was so fun hanging out with Megan and Weston at Shawnee Mission Park the other night. These two are so awesome together. They had no problem laughing and interacting naturally in front of the camera, even though they claimed to be extremely awkward people. It definitely doesn't show in these images. All you can see is the love they share.

Megan and Weston are getting married next month and they wanted to squeeze in a last minute session to get to know me. I love engagement sessions so much because they give me a chance to work with my couples before the big day. This way I can know what poses look awkward before wasting time on them at the wedding. Every couple is different, and engagement sessions allow me to figure out what makes you so special.

Thanks Megan and Weston for hanging out with me! Can't wait to party with you next month!

How did he propose?

Weston proposed the day we finished walking 700 kilometers together across Spain, which took about a month. We were in the main cathedral square in Santiago de Compostela when he got down on one knee, to the cheers and applause of many strangers!

Question for the bride: what do you love most about him?

His kind heart and how thoughtful he is. He is so supportive and caring, and always puts family first.

Question for the groom: what do you love most about her?

Her acceptance which allows me to be my quirky self. She makes me feel at home.

What's your favorite part of wedding planning?

The satisfaction when we get to check something off the to-do list!

What are you looking forward to most about your big day?

Getting to celebrate with all of the people most important to us. Weston is from Kansas and Megan is from California, so it is exciting to be able to have everyone together!
