Fall engagement season is in full swing! Well, I say Fall reluctantly because it was 96 degrees at our Shawnee Mission Park engagement session. The heat didn't phase Emily and Alex though.

These two were seriously so fun. I know I've found my people when they go along with all of my crazy prompts without any hesitation. We, myself included, didn't stop laughing the entire session. We went over our time limit because there was just so much fun to be had. I even had a hard time narrowing them down for this blog because I wanted to share EVERYTHING!
When Emily and I were first planning their session, she mentioned in her questionnaire that she was concerned about their height difference. As someone who has married up (Kyle is 6'4 and I'm 5'3), this is a situation I'm very familiar with, so it was fun to play around with some poses that wouldn't work with couples who are closer in height.

Thank you for hanging with me at your Shawnee Mission Park engagement session! Here's your full preview! More to come shortly!

How did he propose?
I knew Emily would be suspicious if she caught wind of any big plans for the night, so I got the hard part out of the way early and proposed in the afternoon. We then spent the rest of the day and night celebrating on the Plaza and met some friends downtown.
Question for the bride: what do you love most about him?
There are many things I love about Alex, one of the biggest would have to be his height. (Editor's note: can relate) He’s very helpful reaching this that are up high. He also has the best sense of humor and is already warming up his “dad jokes”. Alex even gives a great hugs. But most importantly, he loves me for who I am and who I want to be.
Question for the groom: what do you love most about her?
Emily’s smile and laughter will light up any room. She has also never met a stranger (which I don’t ALWAYS appreciate being the introvert I am) and has broadened my horizons more than I could have ever imagined. She brings out the best in me and at the end of the day is a great best friend.
What's your favorite part about wedding planning?
Bride: “I enjoy communicating with various vendors to make my dream a reality”
Groom: “What wedding planning?”
What are you looking forward to most about your big day?
As cheesy as it sounds, we’re both extremely excited to get everyone together in one place and have a good time. You can say getting ready or the round of golf in the morning, but nothing will beat spending time with loved ones.
