The Haven Event Space Wedding | Jessica and Brett

Jessica and Brett had the absolute best Fall day for their Haven Event Space wedding. After the cold wave, I was so excited to have 60 degree temperatures and a beautiful sunset!

Share the inspiration and atmosphere you’re creating for your wedding:

Our inspiration for our wedding was having a simple yet elegant wedding. We wanted to incorporate the fall colors and bring out some of that “rustic” feel. We want our guests to overall have a great experience at our wedding which includes but not limited to good food and good music.

Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s):

We chose The Haven Event Space because first off it’s a gorgeous place. I’ve always wanted a venue that would have the capability to have an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception. The outdoor ceremony space that backs up onto the pond was perfect as well as having the outdoor patio for guests to mingle post ceremony was an excellent touch as well. We loved the idea of the custom lighting and the farmhouse tables for the reception. However, I think the biggest reason we selected The Haven was because of the staff. As soon as you step through the door you are greeted with a smile and such positive energy. I truly felt like we were the most important thing to the staff in that moment. Blake and Taylor really took the time to show us around their venue and talk with us about the logistics of booking with them. The whole experience just truly made us feel so comfortable in selecting The Haven Event Space for our wedding day.

What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples planning their wedding?

Start planning early in your engagement process, but still find time to celebrate yourselves. Finding a venue and finalizing contracts with vendors will be a lot easier if you can solidify those contracts quickly as many venues and vendors will book out well in advance. I’d also say don’t sweat the little things or worry about what others will think. I understand it’s a BIG day and there are a lot of decisions that will need to be made, but ultimately this wedding is for you and your partner to enjoy. Make decisions together without worrying about others because if you truly only listen to yourselves then your wedding will be the best day.

What was your favorite part of the planning process?

Our favorite part of the planning process was making the decisions for the wedding together. Every piece of the planning process we discussed thoroughly and agreed on how we wanted to do something or how we wanted something to look. If we had to pick a specific piece of the planning process, we’d both agree that the cake tasting was the best part!
