Sunset at the Haven

The Haven Event Space Wedding | Whitney + Jordan

It is officially October, which means full-blown wedding craziness. I had a double-header this last weekend, starting with Whitney and Jordan’s The Haven Event Space wedding. These two were married on our four year wedding anniversary, so I’m a little biased toward the date.

These two, along with their entire wedding party, sure knew how to have fun. No one took themselves too seriously, which led to some hilarious moments. Jordan and Whitney even brought their adorable doggie to be part of their special day.

The day started with nothing but clouds in the forecast, which I won’t complain about. Cloudy wedding days are the best because we aren’t limited as to where we can take pictures. A common misconception is we won’t have a good sunset when it’s cloudy, but contrary to popular belief, cloudy sunsets are some of the best. The sky delivered, allowing us to witness the most gorgeous sunset I have photographed in years. Would it be creepy for me to make a canvas print to hang in my house??? Nah…ok, maybe that would be a bit too much, but seriously, it was insanely gorgeous and deserves to be on a large canvas.
