Tips for Your Wedding at The Haven Event Space
Consider a first look.
The property is huge and it’s impossible to explore it all if you limit yourself to cocktail hour or sunset time. With having a first look, you’ll have much more time for a variety of backgrounds.
Sunset portraits at the pond are non-negotiable.
Plan at least 10-15 minutes in the evening to sneak away to the ceremony pond. The sunset view is one of my favorite things about this venue and it shows up in nearly every gallery I deliver from The Haven.
The venue works with any aesthetic.
The clean lines and neutral palette of The Haven are genuinely versatile. I have photographed bold, colorful weddings here and soft, minimalist ones, and the space elevates both equally. Do not feel pressured to decorate heavily — the venue does a lot of the visual work on its own.
Use the full space.
The Haven has an outdoor patio, the grand staircase, the bar area, and surrounding grounds. A thorough timeline will let us use multiple parts of the venue throughout the day so your gallery feels varied and full rather than repetitive.
