The Hawthorne House Wedding | Madison + Jon
Maddie and Jon were married at a beautiful Fall/Winter Hawthorne House wedding! For being one of the premiere wedding venues in the area, I had never photographed a Hawthorne House wedding, so I was thrilled to be able to experience this gorgeous space with such a fun couple.

It was a cold day, but that didn’t stop us from being able to capture some amazing outdoor portraits. These two, along with their entire wedding party, seemed to have a blast all day despite the cold. I know Jon was a bit pictured-out by the end, but it was so worth it for these gorgeous images.

My favorite part of the day had to be the letter reading. Not only did Maddie and Jon write each other letters, but Maddie’s bridesmaids and man of honor also wrote her letters to read in the morning. Additionally, Maddie wanted to make her first look with her dad extra special so she had her brother and mom witnessing the moment in the background. Her parents finished the first look by reading letters of their own. We, of course, made them read all letters out loud to capture these special moments for the video. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house throughout all of the letter readings.

Thank you Maddie and Jon for allowing us to be part of your beautiful Hawthorne House wedding! Here’s your full preview!

Share the inspiration and atmosphere you’re creating for your wedding:
Our main goal was to throw the party of the year for all of our friends and loved one to all be together and celebrate with us! We would not be the people we are today without our amazing support system.
Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s):
We chose The Hawthorne House because not only is it a super stunning wedding venue, but we really wanted our whole day to be at one location. We loved that they have a chapel to give us the church feel, the large chandeliers in the reception hall, lighted bridge that you walk over to make it feel like you’re in a Hallmark Movie!
What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples planning their wedding?
Pick a day of the week to do wedding planning on! This helps make sure your whole life is not consumed by planning the wedding and can make for a fun date night that you can look forward to as you prepare for your special day together.
What was your favorite part of the planning process?
Our favorite part of the planning process has been tasting food and desserts! Cake tasting was one of the best days for us.
