Lindsay and Andrew had a beautiful Lodge at Ironwoods Wedding reception with a ceremony at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Where do I even start? The days leading up to the wedding were cold. It actually snowed the day before, so we weren't sure how much time we would have for outdoor portraits. Even though Fall is coming to an end, thankfully the trees stayed intact long enough for us to take their portraits at Shawnee Mission Park.

The whole day flowed perfectly. We were even ahead of schedule before the ceremony! It's so rare to be on schedule, let alone ahead!
Lindsay and Andrew decided against having a first look. Even though I am a strong advocate for having a first look, this worked perfectly for them. There wasn't a dry eye in the house as Lindsay walked down the aisle. The ceremony was also extra special because Andrew's uncle officiated.

Lindsay has such an infectious personality. From the morning all through the exit at the end of the night, she was smiling and laughing. There wasn't a moment where she let stress get to her and seemed to thoroughly enjoy every single moment of the day. When she laughed, everyone laughed. Not to mention, she's also the sweetest human being on the planet. As we were leaving, she asked if there was anything she could do to help us get out of there faster. I told her the best way to help us out was to get back to the party and have a drink for me 😂

Thank you so much Lindsay and Andrew for a beautiful Lodge at Ironwoods wedding. I loved capturing you two interact naturally and witness all the laughter and joy throughout the day. Here's your preview! Enjoy!

Share the inspiration and atmosphere you're creating for your wedding:
We have more of a rustic feel for our wedding reception. Our decorations consist of a lot of greenery and candles.
Share how (or why) you chose your wedding venue(s):
We needed a venue that fits 300 people and Andrew and I loved the barn feel. We definitely enjoy the more rustic/ barn theme.
What is your most valuable piece of advice you can share with future couples planning their wedding?
Don't let the stress of wedding planning take away from the special moments you get to have with your fiancé while planning. It is so easy to get overwhelmed while planning all the details. Always remember that it's going to get done, and to take a deep breath and find time for yourself.
What was your favorite part of the planning process?
Being able to picture the day that I get to marry my best friend! I found myself getting overwhelmed too often and I realized that all of the planning is for one ultimate goal: to marry Andrew! It is our day!
