The Plaza and Nelson Engagement | Britta + Austin

In the midst of this global pandemic, I'm so glad I was able to take a few engagement pictures of Britta and Austin to relieve the stress of everything else going on in the world. These two met me for an early sunrise session...well if it wasn't completely overcast and 30 degrees, we would have had a nice sunrise. Despite the circumstances, these two were troupers. We had free reign during our Plaza and Nelson Engagement session because the entire city was empty! I've never seen the Nelson-Atkins Museum have no one there! It was perfect, yet weirdly spooky to be completely alone in our large city.

Britta and Austin were so fun to work with! They had no problems embracing the cold in order to get the session in before Austin was quarantined at his base. He's currently stationed in Arkansas while Britta works for a law firm here! Thankfully they have plenty of time for the world to sort itself out before their November wedding.

Thanks for hanging out with me during a cold morning in the middle of this chaotic time to be alive! Here's your full preview!

Hear from the couple -

How did he propose?

While Britta was away for work during January 2020, Austin wrote a letter every day of a different memory from their relationship, beginning with the night we met, and going through a recent trip to Colorado. When Britta flew back to Little Rock from her work trip, Austin took her to an outdoor sculpture park that was lit up beautifully at night and proposed.
