The Union Event Venue Wedding | Erin + JD

Erin and JD had an absolutely incredible Union Event Venue wedding on Saturday! These two have been through the worst of it when it came to COVID rescheduling.

The Union Event Venue Kansas CIty wedding

They were originally set to get married in April 2020, which obviously didn’t happen, so they rescheduled to July 2020. When the COVID situation hadn’t improved, these two decided to get married in an intimate celebration at Wildway Coffee and then postpone the larger gathering for this July.

Even though the last year has been hard, they stuck with this new date and finally had the opportunity to safely celebrate their marriage with everyone they cared most about.

These two are seriously one of the most fun, laid back couple I’ve had the chance to work with. Despite the multiple reschedules, they never stopped enjoying time with each other and loving this season of life.

My favorite moment of the night had to be our night photos. I was talking to Jessica, the venue manager, and she asked if we wanted to bring sparklers on the roof. I was immediately excited about this idea because I’ve been wanting to take an epic sparkler long exposure for forever. Typically there isn’t much time for such a creative shot, but Erin and JD were excited about trying something new. With the help of my second shooter and videographer husband, we were able to capture the most breathtaking image I have ever had the pleasure of capturing. I’m so glad these two trusted me enough to give me this time.

I love these two so much and thoroughly enjoyed being part of all their celebrations! I can’t wait to have coffee dates and get to know Neil Patrick Harris (their cat) better!
