Lavynder and Hans were married at the Thompson Barn in Lenexa on Sunday. This was a perfect example of a do it yourself wedding. Hans family cooked and served all the food. It was delicious and very cost effective. I don’t know how they did it. Cooking for that many people is no joke, but they pulled it off flawlessly. All the food was served family style, which was awesome. I essentially had an endless supply of Mac and cheese in front of me. No complaints here.
Anyway, enough about the food. The Thompson Barn is an incredible venue. The interior is so beautiful and I just love the way the ceiling allows you to zone in on the dance floor. My favorite part about the venue is actually a couple blocks down. Right behind the Thompson Barn, you’ll find a lake perfect for sunset photos!
To top it all off, Lavynder was such a relaxed bride. She chose her dress because she loved the tiger print look. It was definitely unlike any wedding dress I have ever seen. It was simple yet gorgeous, which fit the theme for the entire day. The whole day was a testament to them as a couple and it was beautiful!
Thanks Lavynder and Hans for letting me be part of your day! Here’s your full preview!
