Tonganoxie Wedding | Taryn + Patrick

Taryn and Patrick had a beautiful Tonganoxie wedding on Saturday! After issues surrounding COVID and their original venue, these two chose to get married at their house in Tonganoxie! My heart goes out to every COVID couple. Getting married is hard enough, but it's especially no fun to deal with a pandemic. Taryn and Patrick didn't let having to change their venue last minute affect their attitudes though! They were just happy to be able to spend the day with their friends and family!

Even though this wasn't the day they had originally planned, it was still absolutely gorgeous! Instead of dealing with a venue, they were able to put up a tent and invite 100 of their closest friends to celebrate with them at their house! Since it was an at home wedding, they were even able to include their adorable Corgi puppy in a few shots! I will never complain when I get the chance to photograph pets! Plus, those bouquets are seriously to die for! Every detail was carefully thought out, from the hilarious groom's cake to the bridal party gifts!

The day itself was extremely windy, without a cloud in the sky. Taryn was worried she wouldn't get the pictures of her dreams because the wind put a damper on the day, but this was not the case at all. We were able to find a nice shaded area to fit their 20 person wedding party and knock out all their family formals ahead of schedule.

Taryn looked absolutely stunning in her gown and Patrick was very dapper in his suit. It was fun for me to watch how much these two truly cared about making sure they had the perfect day. Patrick was working hard all morning setting everything up while Taryn rushed from the salon to make sure everything was in order. Thankfully they had an amazing team of friends and family to help execute their day so perfectly! These two have such an amazing support system!

From when I first met these two at their engagement session, it was so obvious how much they love each other. I couldn't get over how Patrick looked at her, with so much love and affection in his eyes. That same look was even more present on their wedding day!

One of my favorite moments of the day had to be their sunset photos. Taryn cared more about photos than anything else, so she made sure we got some time alone as the sun was setting. Even though there hadn't been a cloud in the sky all day, the sky really lit up for them allowing us to capture some breathtaking images. After we were done with the sunset photos and we were waiting for the reception events to begin, I noticed the sky had transformed from blue and purple to a brilliant shade of pink. I asked if they would be willing to step out for a couple more minutes and they jumped on it! I love having clients who value their sunset photos as much as I do. As I was taking the photos and showing them sneak peeks on the back of the camera, Taryn mentioned how she can't wait to hang certain pictures on their walls! It's a wonderful feeling when clients care about artwork, more than just pretty pictures to post on social media!
