Topeka Wedding | Jessica + Kyle

Jessica and Kyle were married on Saturday at an absolutely beautiful property in Topeka. The backyard was decked out with twinkly lights (my favorite!). They served Chick-Fil-A for dinner, which I have never had before at a wedding. It was a really nice change of pace from traditional wedding food.

I absolutely loved working with Jessica and Kyle. They’re incredible people, but they also prioritized photography. We had three full hours to drive around Topeka and get incredible shots. Despite the 85 degree weather and no clouds, we were able to get so many gorgeous shots and no one passed out from heat exhaustion! They even allowed me to take them out again for sunset and night shots. That sunset was incredible. I haven’t seen a sunset even close to that beautiful since October.

I did have a first at this wedding. Jessica and Kyle wanted to stop by the carousal at Gage Park. At first, we were just going to take pictures with the sign, but I convinced them to ride it. I rode with them to get a few action shots. It was a nauseating experience, but I loved it. I love any opportunity to do something different and everything about this wedding was different!

Another first, I’ve never had a wedding before that was completely outside, but I loved it all. The decorations were gorgeous, the weather was perfect, and the couple was incredible.

Thank you Jessica and Kyle for asking me to be part of your gorgeous day!
